Overview

What A/C System Parts does REACH offer?

REACH A/C parts are premium components designed for automotive air conditioning systems. We ensure that our A/C products and related components meet or exceed the highest industry standards for fit, form, and function. Our product line includes Evaporators, Accumulators & Receiver Driers, Hoses and Lines, Sensors & Switches, Sensors & Switches, O-rings and gaskets.

What does it do for a vehicle?

The REACH A/C parts ensure your vehicle's air conditioning system operates efficiently and effectively. These components work together to regulate the temperature inside the vehicle, providing comfort to passengers regardless of external weather conditions. By maintaining the right temperature, these parts also contribute to the overall performance and longevity of the vehicle's A/C system.

Why are these parts important for proper operation?

A well-functioning A/C system is crucial for maintaining a comfortable driving environment. It prevents overheating of the vehicle's interior, which can cause discomfort and fatigue for the driver and passengers. Additionally, the A/C system helps to defog windows, ensuring clear visibility and enhancing safety. Properly functioning A/C components also prevent strain on the engine by ensuring the system runs efficiently.

Why the right quality matters

Quality matters because high-quality A/C parts ensure reliability, durability, and optimal performance of the air conditioning system. Poor-quality components can lead to frequent breakdowns, inefficient cooling, and increased maintenance costs. By using REACH A/C parts, you can trust that your vehicle's A/C system will provide consistent performance, reduce the risk of unexpected failures, and extend the overall lifespan of the system.

REACH Provides

Evaporators

An evaporator, usually found under the dashboard in the passenger compartment of a vehicle, is crucial for removing heat and moisture from the air. Vehicles with rear air conditioning often have a second evaporator at the rear. Available in three types—tube and fin, serpentine, and plate and fin—the evaporator functions by having cold refrigerant flow through it, absorbing heat as air blows across its fins. This process cools the air and condenses moisture, which helps to lower humidity and filter out dust and pollen. Made from corrosion-resistant aluminum, evaporators are factory pressure tested to ensure reliability.

Features & Benefits

  • OE Fit, Form, and Function
  • Designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications.
  • Durability**: Every new design undergoes rigorous durability testing.
  • Leak Testing**: Each unit is 100% leak tested to ensure reliability.
  • Corrosion Resistance**: Coated with a corrosion-resistant material to enhance longevity.
  • Aluminum Construction**: Cores are made from aluminum, ensuring lightweight and corrosion resistance.

Accumulators & Receiver Driers

Accumulators and receiver driers are essential components of automotive air conditioning systems. They hold  refrigerant and contain a desiccant to remove moisture that enters the system over time. Acting as filters, they eliminate moisture and contaminants that cannot be removed by flushing. When the system is opened to outside air, the accumulator or receiver drier must be replaced, as exposure can quickly saturate the desiccant bag, rendering it ineffective. Replacement is also necessary to validate the compressor warranty and is required anytime the system is serviced.?

Features & Benefits

Our automotive air conditioning components are designed to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function. Each new design undergoes durability and leak testing. Features include plastic fittings to prevent contamination, OE quality desiccant, precision machined fittings for easy installation, and high-quality welds for a durable, leak-free design. The heat-sealed desiccant bag ensures proper placement, and the components are compatible with both R134 A and R1234YF  refrigerants.

Expansion Valves & Orifice Tubes

An expansion valve and an orifice tube are both metering devices essential for regulating refrigerant flow in A/C systems, ensuring efficient cooling and system protection.

Expansion Valve:

  • Function: Slows down the refrigerant before it enters the evaporator, optimizing cooling by converting refrigerant from liquid to gas, absorbing heat, and preventing liquid refrigerant from reaching the compressor.
  • Operation: Acts like a tap, adjusting the flow based on temperature: opening more when hot and closing when cooler.
  • Maintenance: It's recommended replacing the expansion valve during every A/C system service to maintain efficiency and protect the compressor.

Orifice Tube:

  • Function: Creates a restriction to drop pressure and temperature in the liquid line, metering the flow of refrigerant to flood the evaporator.
  • Operation: A fixed device with a specific diameter that works with the compressor to maintain low-side pressure, ensuring adequate refrigerant flow.
  • Maintenance: Orifice tubes are color-coded by size; it’s crucial to replace with the same color. Must be replaced whenever the compressor is replaced due to its screen and small metering tube.

Both devices are critical for the optimal performance of the A/C system, ensuring proper refrigerant flow, efficient cooling, and protection of the compressor

Hoses and Lines

The discharge, suction, and liquid lines are critical components of an A/C system, each serving a specific purpose in the refrigeration cycle:

Discharge Line:
Function: Carries high-pressure gas from the compressor to the condenser.
Suction Line:
Function: Carries low-pressure gas from the evaporator to the compressor, sometimes passing through an accumulator.
Liquid Line:
Function: Carries high-pressure liquid from the condenser to the evaporator, often through an expansion device.

Features:

  • Welds and Connections: Designed like OE, ensuring no refrigerant flow restrictions.
  • Muffler: Wall thickness meets OE specifications, with burst pressure exceeding OE requirements.
  • O-Ring & Seals: Includes all necessary o-rings, seals, and charge port fittings.
  • Brackets: All fixed brackets are included on the hose assembly.

These features ensure that the lines provide optimal performance, durability, and efficiency, meeting or exceeding original equipment standards.

Sensors & Switches

REACH switches and relays are meticulously designed, manufactured, and tested to ensure reliability and performance.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Design and Manufacturing: Relays are designed, tested, and manufactured to high standards, with 100% testing during manufacturing for electronic component assembly and wire bond connectivity.
  • Materials: Uses brass or copper contacts where specified for extended wear.
  • Housing: High-quality composite housings protect against harsh temperatures and severe under-hood conditions.
  • Heat Dissipation: Rapid heat dissipation for cooler operating temperatures and longer part life.
  • Protection and Reliability: Precise short-circuit protection and high-current welded connections for reliability.
  • OE Specifications: Mounting and connectors are identical to OE, ensuring precise fit, form, and function.
  • Contacts: Semi-precious metal contacts for enhanced performance.
  • Standards: Meets or exceeds OE specifications for longer accessory and relay life.

O-rings and gaskets

REACH O-rings are essential sealing components used in vehicles to prevent leaks in various AC systems. Our REACH products come with the proper O-rings in the box.

Features:

  • Material: Made from HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) for O-rings and nitrile rubber for sealing washers, ensuring optimized sealing and product longevity.
  • Quality: Professional, premium aftermarket replacement parts.
  • Performance: Provides the performance and dependability expected from REACH.
  • Standards: Manufactured to meet expectations for fit, form, and function.

These features ensure that REACH O-rings offer reliable performance, durability, and a precise fit for various vehicle applications.
